The Pearland ISD Gifted & Talented Academy is a full-time school within a school located at Sablatura Middle School and Pearland Junior High West designed to serve gifted students in 5th-8th grade. The Academy provides students with unique learning opportunities that challenge and develop the academic abilities of gifted learners alongside their intellectual peers while nurturing their social and emotional needs. 

GT Academy Enrollment

The Pearland ISD Gifted and Talented Academy is a program of  choice available to students identified gifted in Pearland ISD who currently reside in the Pearland ISD attendance zone. The GT Academy Interest Form will be available to all students identified gifted through parent Skyward accounts January 1 - January 31. The deadline to submit the GT Academy Interest Form is February 1, 2026. A lottery will be held to determine enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year.  Families interested in the GT Academy are invited to attend a GT Academy Information Night presentation.

State Goal for Gifted Students

Students who participate in services designed for gifted students will demonstrate skills in self-directed learning, thinking, research and communication as evidenced by the development of innovative products and performances that reflect individuality and creativity and are advanced in relation to students of similar age, experience or environment. (Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students)

Mrs. Stacy Mueller,  GT Academy Specialist  

Stacy Mueller
Mrs. Mueller is proud to serve as the GT Academy Specialist for Pearland ISD's GT Academy at Sablatura and Pearland Junior High West. She has worked with gifted students and teachers for over 25 years in Pearland ISD, Friendswood ISD and Alvin ISD. Mrs. Mueller graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Psychology, received her Masters from the University of Houston Clear Lake and Principal Certification from the University of St. Thomas. She is married to a pretty cool guy and has two awesome sons who graduated from Texas A&M and are living in Austin, Texas and Denver, Colorado.  Whoop! When she is not at school dreaming up new ideas for the GT Academy Mrs. Mueller can be found in the Chick-fil-a drive through or searching for waterfalls.
